Hermonassa

Hermonassa is home to the Red Star Foundries, a major shipbuilding facility responsible for constructing Imperial Service Vessels. Among the ships built there is the ISV Gadelica (hull number MTC-10459), completed on ISD 16009.04.26, a troop carrier of ancient vintage that later served under Hadrian Marlowe's command.

Hermonassa hosts a major Imperial military presence, including a fleet and shipyards. The world was subjected to a large-scale Cielcin assault led by Syriani Dorayaica, known to the Holy Terran Chantry as the Scourge of Earth. During the attack, the shipyards were seized, the defense fleet was broken, and the flagship Inviolate was boarded after the Cielcin cut through its titanium hull. The Cielcin forces employed personal shields during the assault, a capability not previously observed. The attack was characterized as strategically deliberate: rather than raiding the civilian population, Dorayaica targeted only military assets. After his forces killed all members of a decade commanded by Triaster Carax, Dorayaica personally seized Carax by the throat and released him with the message "Tell your master I am coming," leaving him alive to carry word to the Emperor. The attack on Hermonassa is considered alongside a related strike on the Legion base at Gran Kor as evidence of a new and calculated approach to warfare among the Cielcin.

At a subsequent Legion Intelligence inquest on Forum, Hadrian cites the attack on Hermonassa alongside Dorayaica's disruption of the Centaurine Gulf shipping lane as evidence that the Pale King understands Imperial tactics, infrastructure, and psychology at a level unprecedented among Cielcin commanders.
