First appears in Howling Dark, Chapter 32
Syriani Dorayaica, known as the Scourge of Earth, the Pale King, and the Bride of Miudanar, was a Cielcin Prophet-King who sought to transcend its own nature and become like the Watchers, the ancient inhuman intelligences beyond normal space. It bore the titles Aeta Ba-Aetane, Shiomu, Elusha ba-Izhkurrah (King of the Blood), Blessed of Miudanar, and Kielukishunna (Godsborne).
Dorayaica rose to supremacy at the Aetavanni at Akterumu, where it crowned itself Prophet-King, eliminated rival Cielcin princes, and sent Lorian Aristedes to Forum to herald Cielcin unification. It subjected Hadrian to prolonged captivity and philosophical torture aboard Dharan-Tun, broadcast holographic demands for the Sollan Empire to surrender its Emperor, and directed its forces toward Gododdin. Its talon-strikes left five black scars on Hadrian's face.
Dorayaica's bond with the Watcher Miudanar consumed it physically: its flesh turned progressively to stone, and by the end it had become something more Watcher than Cielcin. It is killed aboard Dharan-Tun by the Hakurani slave Radhassa, who smashes its head with an ivory drinking horn; its empty cranium contains no blood, only Miudanar's essence. After its death, the Cielcin fleet is all but annihilated and the clans begin to splinter without a successor to hold them together.
