Captain Afsharirad

Fadroh Afsharirad is a Jaddian military officer who commands the JNS Albaspatha and serves as a counselor and staff officer to the Jaddian command. During the Fidchell campaign, he acted as diplomatic liaison for Prince Kaim, greeting Hadrian Marlowe by his Jaddian epithet Al Neroblis and briefing him on court protocol before his audience with the prince. He also participated in the war council, providing navigation data on the distance from Fidchell to Perfugium.

By the time of the Catraeth evacuation, Afsharirad serves as aide to Admiral Serpico, attending him closely enough to correct the admiral's figures -- adjusting the reported refugee count from three hundred thirty thousand to three hundred thirty-five thousand.
