Sir Leonid Bartosz

Leonid Bartosz is a strategos and lord on the Imperial Advisory Council, described as shrinking and vulpine and a politician to his bones. He formerly commanded Raine Smythe and Bassander Lin as a legate and abandoned his post at the Battle of Berenike in despair, requiring Hadrian to have him frozen in cryonic suspension.

Throughout the Gododdin campaign councils, Bartosz is a persistent opponent of Hadrian: accusing him of killing Douro, calling him faithless, moving for his arrest, demanding accountability for the loss of the Bradamante fleet, and publicly accusing him of wanting the throne. At Llurug Planum he sneers at Lorian's demand for recognition of the Roundtable Fleet's claim to the Norman Expanse, dismissing the idea that thirteen ships can buy an arm of the galaxy.
