Sir Amalric Osman

Sir Amalric Osman is the castellan of Fort Din on Gododdin, responsible for troop deployments across whole sectors of space. He is an old, bald man with a scarred and weathered face.

Osman clashes with Hadrian over the handling of the Irchtani unit after a confrontation in the Fort Din prison. He jails Udax and confines the Irchtani company to barracks when the unit refuses to identify the guilty party, and proposes decimating the company by lot -- a suggestion Hadrian overrules. Intimidated by the presence of Prince Alexander of House Avent, Osman falls into compliance, quietly destroying records of the prison incident and reassigning the warden and monitoring staff offworld. He also yields to Hadrian's demands at the command briefing, including the two-week departure deadline for the mission.
