Mann

Michael Mann was a member of the geological survey team overseeing excavations at Phanamhara on Sabratha. Born on Tiryns and educated at an Imperial academy there, he came to Sabratha as a frontier patrician drawn by its opportunities. His death -- discovered in one of Phanamhara's outbuildings -- galvanized Friedrich Oberlin into launching Operation Gnomon. Mann's corpse exhibited bizarre properties consistent with higher-dimensional disruption: his body existed as three simultaneous versions of different sizes, all responding to physical stimuli in unison. The investigator Carter concluded the three forms were three-dimensional projections of Mann cast by a higher-dimensional event.
