Leonora

Leonora is an Archprior of the Holy Terran Chantry and the Emperor's Confessor, a persistent black-robed presence at the Emperor's side. She operates within the Chantry's broader institutional hierarchy and is among those most hostile to Hadrian at court.

She is aligned with Prince Alexander's faction and has consistently moved against Hadrian: calling Valka a witch and demanding her punishment, calling for Hadrian's arrest when he accused Alexander of attempted murder, and demanding Hadrian's execution after he struck the Emperor -- only to be silenced by the Emperor each time. After Hadrian is imprisoned, he anticipates Leonora among those who might come for him, placing her among the Chantry figures who whispered against him following the events at Berenike.
