Kalima di Sayyiph

Kalima di Sayyiph is the Satrap of Ubar, a woman of the Jaddian eali al'aqran pureborn caste, and the alkidar and close adviser of Prince Kaim-Olorin Milta. She first appeared as the Jaddian ambassador to Emesh, opposing prisoner torture and formally proposing the Aranata expedition before her satrap posting was curtailed by suspicion at the Emesh court.

At the conference aboard the Demiurge, Kalima is the most actively engaged member of the Jaddian delegation, often speaking before her prince. She provides intelligence on the Emperor's location, confirms corruption spreading within Jadd, and presses Hadrian with sharp questions about Mericanii involvement, dimensional weapons, and the recovered Ship artifact. She is the first to identify the severed stone finger brought before the council as what it is, and her composure breaks when the alien Orphan enters the chamber. She also presses for clarity on how many inhabited systems fall within the blast radius of the proposed hypernova weapon.
