Hushansa
CharacterAlso known as: Vayadan Hushansa
First appears in Kingdoms of Death, Chapter 2
Hushansa, called Hushansa the Many-Handed, is a vayadan-general of the Iedyr Yemani and one of four fingers of Syriani Dorayaica's White Hand. Formerly the Prophet's concubine, Hushansa was transformed into a chimeric being: its true self reduced to brain and spinal column sealed within an egg of Extrasolarian steel, floating deep within the palace at Dharan-Tun, while three puppet bodies -- taller and thinner than even Cielcin-kind, wearing sword-crowned crowns and moving in perfect synchrony -- serve as its instruments in the world. It speaks standard with an Extrasolarian accent and identifies itself as Dorayaica's instrument of fate.
Hushansa pursued Hadrian across multiple campaigns: first confronting him on Virdi Planum, then revealing its true floating-sphere form at Dorayaica's throne room to demand he be "mortified," then commanding the Cielcin siege of Perfugium and personally hunting him through the city. At Dharan-Tun, it receives Hadrian as one belonging to Dorayaica since the day he first arrived. All three of Hushansa's puppet bodies are found dead there, killed by the pulse that issued from the reawakening of Miudanar.
