Nebet Hut

Nebet Hut is a posthuman woman who posed as a captain of the Free Captains of Vorgossos, nominally commanding the ship Kite. She has a gold complexion and blue-black hair, with a bearing that might suggest Mandari or Tavrosi heritage, though she bears no clan saylash.

In reality she is a scion of Kharn Sagara -- specifically an incarnation of the Harendotes variant -- planted in the Vorgossene delegation. On exposure, she kills Acastus Kozar and opens fire on Hadrian before dying when cornered rather than surrendering.

Post-mortem analysis by Edouard's people reveals that the Hut variant did not even attempt to broadcast its thoughtform before death, confirming her end as a true sacrifice rather than a transfer. Hadrian concludes she was a deliberate pawn: if she had succeeded in retaking Demiurge, all was well for Sagara; her failure at minimum served as a distraction. A second scion remained with the fleet in orbit and directed the attack against Demiurge.
