Acastus Kozar

Acastus Kozar is Fleet Captain of the Free Captains of Vorgossos, an ancient chimera who has served the Undying for nearly five thousand years. Standing close to eight feet tall, he is encased in a full-body suit of silver foil and articulated armor, with chrome mirrors for eyes and steel teeth. The black lines of nerve implants mark his face at jaw and cheeks.

A former knight of the Sollan Empire -- identifiable by the highmatter sword at his belt -- Kozar has long outlasted his original allegiances. When Hadrian arrives at Vorgossos, Kozar recognizes him immediately as the Devil of Meidua and offers the surrender of the Vorgossene fleet to him personally, using the Cielcin gesture of submission. He claims ignorance of the fleet's earlier attack on Demiurge, swearing by the Rock of Aebar. Kharn Sagara, acting through the body of Nebet Hut, kills Kozar on the spot for having offered that surrender.
