Mattias Simonyi

Simonyi is a captain in the Imperial military. He participates in a war council regarding the siege of Perfugium, contributing intelligence about the planet's fortifications -- including bunkers dug six thousand years ago, ray-shielded and extending half a mile underground with geothermal sinks into the planet's core. His ship carries sixty thousand soldiers in cryogenic suspension, and his forces are slated to support the landing party should a ground assault be ordered.
