Marius is an inquisitor of the Holy Terran Chantry who administers the Question to Hadrian aboard the anchor station above Sananne on Nessus. The examination is observed by Commandant Lynch and a trio of scholiasts sent by Venantian himself, and Hadrian's humanity is confirmed beyond all doubt.
