Magnus Yanek

Yanek is the commander of the Androzani, a warship serving in the Sollan Empire's fleet. At a fleet conference he backs Otavia Corvo's battle plan, openly dismissing a dissenting officer's caution. When the Cielcin board the Androzani during the subsequent engagement, communications with the ship are lost; the boarders compromise the warp drive's fuel containment and trigger a matter-antimatter annihilation that destroys the Androzani and kills everyone aboard, including Yanek.
