Lady Jamina Ardahael
CharacterAlso known as: Jamina
First appears in Disquiet Gods, Chapter 49
Lady Jamina Ardahael holds the office of Master of War in the High Court of Calen Harendotes on Latarra. She is a tetrand -- a species bred by the Sollan Empire as null-gravity workers, with four arms and no legs -- and travels in a float-chair. Her son, Lord Simeon Ardahael, is a white-haired young man who also rides in a float-chair.
Jamina is a persistent skeptic within Harendotes's court. She distrusts Lorian Aristedes and the other former Imperial Commandant Generals, openly warning Harendotes that Lorian's loyalty cannot be depended upon and stating she would prefer all twelve Commandant Generals to be Extrasolarian. She is equally wary of the Terran Chantry, refusing to deal with the black priests except as a last resort, and is skeptical of the claim that the Chantry would murder a princess of the Aventine House.
