Kyra

Kyra is a lieutenant and pilot officer in House Marlowe's household guard on Delos, and secretly an intelligence asset for Hadrian Marlowe's grandmother Liliana, embedded within Lord Alistair's household. She has bronze curly hair, green eyes, and a lean build.

Hadrian develops a quiet, one-sided attachment to her, repeatedly ordering her to accompany him and sketching her portrait from memory. A painful moment on the penthouse balcony -- where she responds to his advance with a flat, resigned offer born of duty rather than desire -- reveals the power imbalance between them, and Hadrian recoils in shame.

Kyra's covert role surfaces when Hadrian is exiled from Delos: she arranges to be included in the farewell delegation under false pretenses, her actual mission being to ensure Hadrian reaches his ship. She guides him through the city for a clandestine meeting and sacrifices her own cover to see the task through. At the boarding pier she declines Hadrian's apology and departs without words, only a nod. Hadrian asks her to seek a safer posting with Liliana, away from Crispin, who has threatened her; Liliana agrees to protect her. Kyra is the last familiar face Hadrian sees before leaving Delos.
