Kit

Kit is a boy of approximately ten years from Gododdin, orphaned by the chaos in Catraeth. He guides Hadrian's group to safety during the riots and is subsequently brought aboard the ship Demiurge.

Aboard Demiurge, Kit assumes an informal leadership role among a small group of seven refugee children, looking after the younger ones alongside Victor under the direction of Master Argo. When Hadrian announces he must leave, Kit protests -- insisting that Hadrian Marlowe, the Halfmortal, cannot simply go -- revealing both his hero-worship of Hadrian and a keen sensitivity to the moods of the adults around him.
