Emil Bordelon

Emil Bordelon is a Norman mercenary commodore and the former commander of the Pharaoh, killed during the campaign on Pharos after betraying Hadrian and the Meidua Red Company to the dictator Marius Whent. His soldiers abandoned him when Hadrian offered terms, and Hadrian destroyed his ship from orbit.

Bordelon's gaudy tastes leave one lasting mark aboard the Pharaoh: a conference table of Mandari-printed sable marble on dragon-clawed mahogany legs with a holography suite inlaid in hair-fine wire -- an ornament too large and fixed to discard, which Bassander Lin inherits along with the former commodore's quarters.
