Free Captains of Vorgossos

The Free Captains' fleet numbers three hundred seventeen vessels: six Exalted Sojourners, twenty-one major battle cruisers, sixty-three destroyers, one hundred nineteen frigates, and one hundred eight lesser warships. The fleet is commanded by Fleet Captain Acastus Kozar following the apparent death of Kharn Sagara.

The Free Captains' members are posthumans -- chimeras, machine-men, and other extreme modifications. Individual captains command their own vessels within the fleet.

The Free Captains serve as vavasors of Kharn Sagara, the Undying of Vorgossos. After Sagara's apparent death, Fleet Captain Kozar offers the Free Captains' surrender to Hadrian Marlowe personally. Four captains come aboard the Demiurge to negotiate: Kozar, D-307 Aleph, Here Soonchanged, and Nebet Hut. Kozar is shot dead by Kharn Sagara, who has taken possession of Nebet Hut's body, for having offered the surrender.

Acastus Kozar holds the rank of Fleet Captain and leads the Free Captains following the apparent death of Kharn Sagara. D-307 Aleph is the captain of the 4B-65CC7-Eta-9E3-Gimel-4. Here Soonchanged commands the Azoth. Nebet Hut commands the Kite.
