Tavros

Tavros is the homeworld of the Tavrosi Demarchy, the political and cultural foundation of scholars such as Valka Onderra Vhad Edda. The Demarchy's tolerance of human-machine integration and its independence from the Holy Terran Chantry make Tavros a source of ongoing Chantry hostility. When Gilliam Vas accuses Valka's communications equipment of being 'some device of Tavros,' he implies that it carries forbidden alien or machine-linked capabilities — an accusation Count Mataro dismisses, noting that similar tablets have been in use since colonization.
