Sadal Suud

Sadal Suud is a world home to the Cavaraad species and the location of the Marching Towers — massive black stone obelisks dragged by the Cavaraad from the lowlands to ridge lines. The towers are built of the same distinctive flat-faced black stone as the Quiet ruins at Calagah on Emesh and the Temple of Athten Var on Judecca, identifying them as Quiet sites rather than Cavaraad constructions. Valka Onderra has personally visited the Marching Towers, hiking the old stone road from Mattar to Port Shiell with a wain caravan to observe them. Sadal Suud also hosts Mattar Prefecture.

House Rodolfo once sought to stake a territorial claim on Sadal Suud, but the xenologist Hemachandra successfully pushed for the planet to receive protectorate status in order to protect the Cavaraad from exploitation.
