Marinus is a world at or near the edge of the Veil, on the Norman frontier close to the galactic core. Sir Olorin Milta identifies it as the Jaddian delegation's final destination before crossing into Norman space and reaching the active Cielcin front. It represents the boundary between Imperial-adjacent settled space and the theater of war, making it a staging point for the Jaddian diplomatic and military mission to the front lines.
