Huntsman

The Huntsman is a dreadnought constructed for Imperial service at the Sananne shipyards on Nessus. Its superstructure was assembled in orbit above one of Nessus's moons while component parts were built on the ground, where gravity aided construction; when completed, the components were lifted into space on long cables for final installation. The ship is one of the largest battleships in the Imperial service, described as a hundred-mile rival to Kharn Sagara's Demiurge and the Sojourners of the Exalted. Its name is stenciled on its hull. The dorsal hull is smooth and unblemished save for sparse gun emplacements and blistered airlocks, with gun batteries, docking ports, and fluted mouths of magnetic launch tubes hanging below. The ship carries nearly one hundred thousand men.

The Huntsman is constructed at the Sananne shipyards on Nessus, with its superstructure assembled in orbit above one of Nessus's moons and components lifted from the surface on long cables. Hadrian Marlowe observed its construction piece by titanic piece from his time at Maddalo House on Nessus. The completed ship orbits Gododdin and is destroyed utterly in the first seconds of the final battle.
