Binah

Binah is one of Emesh's two moons, described as green and said to be covered in woods as vast as the fabled forests of Luin. Lord Melluan's sons are noted to have come down from Binah for a harbor boat race in Borosevo. It is home to Tivan Melluan, whose estate Count Mataro initially plans to use as a place to send Hadrian during the years before the betrothal to Anaïs can be completed. Binah hangs low over the horizon from Emesh's surface, dark where it occults the edge of the planet's giant sun. Binah and the second moon Armand are both locked in polar orbits around Emesh, which causes the southern latitudes of the planet to experience significantly larger tidal swings than the equatorial regions — dramatically enough to periodically flood the Calagah ruins on the southern continent entirely. Binah's combined gravitational pull with Armand causes Emesh's seas to rise and fall wildly across the planet.
