Whitehorse Company

The Whitehorse Company is a foederated mercenary organization that has served multiple Imperial Legion contracts. Their uniform consists of dark brown jackets belted at the waist and high black boots; their armorial is a white horse rampant on a brown field, worn as a patch on the right forearm. The company is commanded by Sir Alexei Karelin and has participated in at least five Legion contracts across seven major engagements. One of their soldiers, Kogan, served seventeen years of active service with the company — nearly one hundred twenty years standard counting time in and out of cryonic fugue — before discharging.

The Whitehorse Company recently discharged foederati at Emesh from the Legion carrier Obdurate, and several of the discharged soldiers have ended up fighting as myrmidons at the Borosevo Colosso. The company fought at the Battle of Wodan under First Strategos Duke Hauptmann, where Karelin is reported to have secretly retained a pair of captured Cielcin prisoners. Former company members distinguish the Whitehorse contemptuously from the Cousland Drakes, whom they describe as a parade company that "shoved paper around."
