Yume

Yume is the chief android functionary of Kharn Sagara on Vorgossos, long serving as guide, escort, and household manager throughout the underground palace. Its body is fashioned of black metal and golden filigree with panels of clear glass revealing orichalcum machinery and delicate gearwork within. Its face is a snowy white masquerade mask with the left eye cut out and traced in delicate gold -- a form it wears in formal settings. Hadrian has long believed its single eye to be one of Kharn's ten thousand eyes.

Yume describes itself as a "high-order virtual intelligence and personal assistant" prohibited from mistruth, since false data introduces error into Kharn's information. During the crisis on Vorgossos years earlier it supported Suzuha during the awakening of the SOMs.

In Disquiet Gods, Yume is first found critically damaged -- faceplate shattered and its head shot through -- while accompanying a Hadrian-clone captured by Latarran dragoons. It is later found standing post at the entrance to Kharn's pyramid palace, where it takes Hadrian's sword into a compartment in its chest for safekeeping and maintains an attentive position beside Kharn's throne. When Hadrian calls his sword back by faith and attacks, Yume interposes itself between him and Kharn, and Hadrian destroys it.
