Titania

Princess Titania is a daughter of the Imperial family, a younger sister of Princess Selene and sister to Prince Aurelian. She is named after her grandmother, the former Empress Titania Augusta, who ruled for more than five hundred years and was on the throne when the Cielcin razed Cressgard.

By the time of the events in Disquiet Gods, Titania has undergone a profound personal transformation. Having consecrated herself to Mother Earth, she has withdrawn from court life and joined the Sisters Cinerea, leaving the Peronine Palace only to attend sacrifices. She dresses in an ashen gray gown with a veil of white lace and no jewelry -- a deliberate renunciation of Imperial splendor. The shy, curious girl who once asked impulsive questions about Mericanii daimons has hardened into a dour, deeply religious woman, quick to rebuke any improper discussion of Imperial succession.
