Skag

Skag is a dock worker at Borosevo's waterfront reclamation depot on Emesh. He is short and nearly as broad as he is tall — all muscle and hair, with a bare scalp the color of old bronze and a profusion of beard that sprouts almost to his eyelids. His arms reach almost to his knees, which Hadrian compares to the homunculus Saltus. The planet's stronger gravity has given him and his coworkers bodies like bulls. When Hadrian confronts the dock workers about his stolen signet ring, Skag attacks immediately without hesitation, before Hadrian can fully state his business.
