Lysandra Aristedes

Lysandra Aristedes is a patrician knight and the mother of Lorian Aristedes. She became pregnant by the Grand Duke of Patmos out of wedlock, producing an intus child whose genes had mingled without the sanction of the Imperial High College. Against law and convention, she refused to terminate the pregnancy, choosing to carry Lorian to term. She later petitioned Lorian's father to secure him a place at the Grand Duke's court.
