Livy

Livy is a figure from Gibson's past, described by Gibson as a brother scholiast and old friend. In his dying delirium, Gibson calls out to Livy repeatedly, expressing guilt over having betrayed Livy and their shared house out of ambition. The exact nature of Livy's relationship to Gibson's son Alois remains ambiguous.
