Juno Arello

Juno is a Jaddian woman and crew member aboard the free trader Eurynasir, and the wife of its captain, Demetri Arello. She has bronze skin and star-bright white hair that waves almost to her elbows, and is described as beautiful. She is outgoing and quick-witted, and reacts to the homunculus Saltus with worn, scathing contempt — physically intervening when he mocks Hadrian during the cryogenic freezing procedure: she kicks Saltus in the back of the knee, grabs him by the scruff, and throws him out of the medica, telling him firmly to leave the boy alone. Her manner is commanding but unemotional, resolving the situation without drama. Along with the rest of the Eurynasir's crew, Juno abandons ship mid-voyage, taking the shuttles and leaving Hadrian frozen in cryogenic suspension.
