God Emperor William Windsor

William the First is the God Emperor and founding ancestor of the reigning Sollan dynasty. He is venerated as a quasi-divine figure credited with humanity's victory over the machines in the ancient past, traditionally depicted kneeling on the Aventine Hill of old Earth and raising aloft a crown of twisted wires in the ashes of his triumph. A statue bearing this iconography stands on the altar of the Magnarch's private chapel on Nessus.
