Gin

Gin is a prefect-inspector of the Criminal Response Division of the Borosevo Prefects' Office on Emesh. He is a tall man with hair almost as dark as Hadrian's, his eyes concealed behind bright lenses. He leads a seven-prefect response to a robbery, taking personal control of the suspect confrontation and training his stunner on the suspect Tur. He reprimands his subordinate Ko for shooting Tur without authorization and orders him to hold fire, demonstrating both command authority and tactical discipline. He threatens the remaining thieves with the Colosso rather than neural conditioning as a leverage tactic, showing an awareness of which consequence will be more persuasive. He gives the signal for Ko to stun the final two suspects and is not troubled by one of them nearly drowning face-first in a puddle after being stunned.
