Ausric Dayne

Ausric Dayne is a junior Imperial captain who serves in the fleet during the MINOS campaign. During the voyage he develops an acquaintance with Hadrian through shared discussions of history. At the Battle of Ganelon he and Tribune Lin jointly capture a Cielcin command ship. He is subsequently ordered to remain at Ganelon alongside Captain Tenavian to complete the pacification. Their joint operation oversees the atomic destruction of the MINOS fortress, the pacification of a captured Cielcin moon, and the roundup and execution or internment of mercenary survivors, earning recognition for their thoroughness.
