Ardi is a pilot officer serving aboard the Tamerlane, holding the rank of aquilarius. He accompanies Hadrian to the surface during a scouting mission but is sent back to the ship to assist with surveying the system, leaving Hadrian's smaller party to enter the ruins alone.
